2008 saw some changes in the Resource Centres' project.

CASME will be opening a new centre at the Ndwedwe Circuit office as part of the Basil Read funded initiative that kicked off earlier this month.

The centre previously located in Dundee at the Environment and Education Centre as part of the Absa project has relocated to Msinga. This forms part of a new focus for the District with support provided to 40 schools in the circuit. 

The Pietermaritzburg Centre previously situated at the Olwazini Discovery Centre at the Golden Horse Casino is now up and running at the Plessislaer campus of the Umgungundlovu FET College. The centre played host to our National Science Week activities in May (see above for more).

RNA through Greater Good South Africa are making use of the CASME resource centres to distribute their magazine titles 'Getaway', 'Popular Mechanics', 'Car' and 'Pro Golfer' to schools for use in their projects.
