In 2011, CASME has reached five (5) provinces namely, KZN, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, North West and Eastern Cape. This will be extended to include the Free State and Northern Cape early in 2012.

In quantitative terms CASME's reach extended considerably further than in the previous 2 years and we continue to see positive growth.

In summary:

• 103 learners programmes
• 304 school visits
• 40 cluster workshops
• 132 vacation workshops

Direct participants in CASME programmes included:

• Learners: 6960
• Teachers: 2998
• Schools: 448

We are looking forward to tackling the challenges of 2012. We are fortunate to have a dedicated, committed and stable team of 19 staff members who are assisting to realise our vision for being the Centre of Excellence in Mathematics and Science Education.

CASME, with 26 years experience in mathematics and science education development behind it, is grateful for its committed funding partners and we look forward to continuing the good work in your name and also to welcoming our new partners on board.
